About Coast Cams
Connecting people, places, and projects through live and visual media
Coast Cams is a visual media and live streaming platform that helps organisations communicate clearly about places, projects, and experiences. We work across tourism, public sector, and infrastructure, producing photography, film, live streaming, and advertising that reaches real, engaged audiences.
What began as a single live camera on the South Devon coastline has grown into a trusted media platform with around half a million viewers each month. Today, Coast Cams supports organisations by combining high-quality content production with established distribution through our live cameras and channels.
Our background
Coast Cams was founded by a professional photographer and filmmaker with a long-standing connection to the South Devon coast and its infrastructure. The original idea came from a desire to share the coastline with people who could not easily visit in person, using live cameras as a way to bring places into people’s daily lives.
Since the first camera went live in 2014, Coast Cams has expanded into a network of live coastal cameras supported by photography, film, and long-term project documentation. Along the way, organisations began approaching us after seeing the quality, consistency, and reach of the work in action.
Much of our commercial and public-sector work has come through organisations seeing what we do, rather than through cold outreach.
What we do today
Today, Coast Cams works with organisations that need to communicate clearly and credibly in public-facing environments. This includes:
Tourism bodies and destination organisations
Local authorities and public-sector teams
Transport, infrastructure, and engineering organisations
Hospitality, attractions, and place-based businesses
Our services range from one-off commissions to multi-year partnerships and include live streaming, photography, film production, advertising, and camera sponsorship.
A trusted platform with a warm audience
One of Coast Cams’ key strengths is its audience. Viewers actively choose to watch specific locations and often return daily or weekly, building familiarity and trust with both the platform and the places they are viewing.
For organisations, this creates a rare opportunity to place messaging within a trusted, highly relevant context. Advertising and sponsorship sit alongside live views of real locations, reaching people who already have a connection to that place.
How we work
We take a calm, practical approach to every project. Work is planned around the location, audience, and objectives involved, with a strong emphasis on reliability, safety, and clear communication.
Projects are delivered either independently or in collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders, particularly in live or sensitive environments.
Working with Coast Cams
Whether you need to document a long-term project, promote a destination, communicate change, or place your organisation in front of a relevant audience, Coast Cams provides a combination of content creation and platform reach that is difficult to replicate elsewhere.
