Our live cameras bring together people with an interest in Devon and coastal places. Video advertising gives independent accommodation providers, attractions, hospitality businesses and relevant local businesses a way to introduce their offer within that viewing experience.
Campaigns are selected for relevance and approved by Coast Cams to protect audience trust. Paid promotion does not mean Coast Cams has tested or endorsed a business. Approved accommodation businesses can advertise across the free website camera network.
You can buy a video campaign without sponsoring a camera. Campaigns do not guarantee enquiries, bookings or sales.
How your video advert is delivered
- The live camera comes first. Viewers initially see the live view.
- The first advert starts after approximately 7 seconds. This timing was chosen through practical testing so people experience the camera first.
- Advertising repeats every 10 minutes during the first three hours of viewing. Your campaign participates in advertising delivery across the network; one advertiser is not promised every slot.
- The skip button becomes available after 10 seconds. Viewers can then skip the advert and return to the live camera.
Delivery covers all free Coast Cams website cameras. It excludes paid member streams, YouTube and Facebook. An impression does not establish that a viewer watched for 10 seconds or completed the advert.
A 12-month campaign with 100,000 impressions
Your standard 12-month campaign includes at least 100,000 video advert impressions. If that total is reached early, your advert continues for the rest of the year at no additional charge. If it has not been reached by the end of 12 months, delivery continues until it reaches 100,000.
There is no extra charge for impressions above 100,000 during your 12-month campaign. Impressions count advert delivery; they are not unique people, completed views, 10-second views or guaranteed attention.
Shorter campaigns are scoped individually and carry an additional administration/setup fee. They do not automatically include the 100,000-impression guarantee. All standalone campaigns are priced by quotation.

On-location filming anywhere in Devon, scripting, voiceover, music, production and editing, with three revisions. We agree the production schedule and campaign quotation with you.
Supply a finished video
Already have an advert? Send it for approval. We will advise on suitable specifications before delivery. Additional filming or editing is quoted separately.
We recommend around 30 seconds, with a maximum of 90 seconds. The skip button becomes available after 10 seconds, so a clear opening helps viewers understand your business and offer quickly.

From your advert to your own website
Your clickable advert can lead to your own website, landing page, booking page or online shop. Coast Cams tracking links help report click-through activity. If you need a dedicated landing page, we can quote for its creation as an additional service.
Your dashboard and campaign updates
Every advertiser receives their own dashboard login to review video advert impressions and click-throughs. This shows campaign delivery and clicks, not unique reach, 10-second views, sales or confirmed bookings.
An administration fee applies when replacing a supplied finished video or changing the destination URL or UTM tracking. New filming and editing are quoted separately. Agree any changes with us before supplying replacements.
From enquiry to live campaign
- Tell us what you want to promote. Share your business, destination page, preferred start date and campaign length.
- Agree suitability and a quotation. We review relevance and set out the campaign, creative work and any additional services.
- Prepare and approve the advert. Supply your finished video or work with us on production. We confirm the video, destination and tracking links.
- Launch when everything is ready. Activation is usually the same day or within one working day after approved assets are ready and payment arrangements are in place. Filming and production have their own agreed schedule.
- Follow delivery. Log in to your advertiser dashboard to review impressions and click-throughs.

Do I need to sponsor a camera?
No. Video advertising is available as a standalone campaign across all free Coast Cams website cameras.
How much does a campaign cost?
All standalone campaigns are priced by quotation, based on the campaign and creative work required. Shorter campaigns carry an additional administration/setup fee.
What does the 100,000-impression guarantee cover?
A standard 12-month campaign includes at least 100,000 video advert impressions. Reach that total early and delivery continues for the rest of the year at no additional charge. If it takes longer, delivery continues until the total is reached. Extra impressions during the 12 months cost no more. Shorter campaigns are agreed individually and do not automatically include this guarantee.
Is an impression a person who watched the whole advert?
No. Impressions record advert delivery, not unique people, completed views, 10-second views or guaranteed attention.
When can viewers skip?
The live camera appears first, with the first advert after approximately 7 seconds. The skip button becomes available after 10 seconds of the advert. Advertising repeats every 10 minutes during the first three hours of viewing.
Can accommodation businesses advertise?
Yes, subject to approval. Approved accommodation businesses can advertise across the free website camera network. Campaign approval considers relevance and audience trust.

Both routes are available. Coast Cams production includes Devon filming, scripting, voiceover, music, editing and three revisions. Supplied videos need approval. Around 30 seconds is recommended, with a 90-second maximum.
Can we change the advert or its link?
Yes. An administration fee applies to replacing supplied finished media, changing the destination URL or updating UTM tracking. New filming or editing is quoted separately.
How quickly can it go live?
Usually the same day or within one working day once approved assets are ready and payment arrangements are in place. This is activation time; video production follows a separately agreed schedule.
